Fighting Human Trafficking in Northern Colorado

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking through three key pillars: educating our community, providing care kits to victims, and facilitating safe transportation for those in need.

What is human trafficking?

To end it, we must first understand it.
Human trafficking is a pervasive and heinous crime that involves the exploitation of individuals through force, fraud, or coercion for various purposes, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and servitude. Victims of human trafficking are often vulnerable individuals, including men, women, children, migrants, and those living in poverty, who are manipulated and controlled by traffickers for financial gain or other motives.

Colorado statistics

More than 80% of Human Trafficking cases are never reported to anyone and only 6% are reported to law enforcement.
Colorado ranks 10th in the U.S. for both the number of reports and the rate of trafficking incidents per 100,000 residents, reflecting a troubling rise in such activities across the state and the nation.
the National Human Trafficking Hotline received 137 identified cases involving 229 victims from Colorado in 2020, with most cases involving sex trafficking
45 states, the District of Columbia, and the Federal Government have longer statutes of limitations for human trafficking than Colorado.
Since 2014, when Colorado human trafficking statutes went into effect, 268 cases have been filed. Only 54 of those cases resulted in a human trafficking conviction.
Trafficking offenders will only serve 33-50% of their sentence
*Its important to understand human trafficking stats are skewed due to underreporting, as victims often fear coming forward or fail to identify as victims.

Get to know the director.

Hello, my name is Ashley,  and I am passionate about fighting against human trafficking—a cause that has weighed heavily on my heart for several years. Having experienced the harshness of this world and violence in my own life, I no longer wanted to be stuck in silence; I wanted to fight and be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. I have served overseas in efforts to combat this horrific crime. Recognizing that it also happens in the United States, I moved to Northern Colorado in 2021 to establish a ministry dedicated to raising awareness and taking action against trafficking here. In 2023, I married the love of my life and started my own family, which further fuels my commitment to this fight. Together, we strive to bring the realities of human trafficking into the light and work towards eradicating it in all its forms.
